Hot Tub Replacement Cover

If you own a hot tub, a hot tub replacement cover is inevitable at some point during the life of your hot tub. They hold up well for many years, even with lots of use and abuse like mine gets, however eventually, you will need to find a replacement.

Replacement covers can be found online at In the Swim (opens new window) along with hot tub cover lifts. (If you're thinking you don't need a hot tub cover lift think again! They're easy to install, relatively inexpensive, and make the use of your hot tub SO much easier and more enjoyable! Follow this link to learn more.)

There is some variety with hot tub covers, with some being made a bit more sturdy and able to handle snow better, however most covers are basically the same. They're designed for 1 primary reason: To keep the heat in the tub when not in use! Leave your hot tub exposed to the elements for a few days, and your electric bill will tell you exactly why you have a hot tub cover.

I've also recently learned that covers serve to keep debris out of the hot tub. Perhaps this is self-explanatory to most, but I don't have any trees near my hot tub, and so I never thought of it. That is, until a recent wind storm hit, and loads of pine needles descended on my poor, unsuspecting hot tub. It was NOT fun to clean all of those pine needles!

Again, and this point bears bears repeating...to get the most out of your hot tub cover, and to ensure that it holds up for many years, make sure you’ve installed a hot tub cover lift to use along with your cover.

Refer to hot tub info for other topics such as how to clean your hot tub, and adding proper chemicals, or go to backyard landscaping for all sorts of ideas on what to do in your backyard.

Happy tubbing!
