Composite Fences
Composite fences are the crème d la crème of residential fences. This material is a plastic and/or wood derivative, and is designed to stand the test of time with little to no maintenance required, and are quite the addition to any backyard landscapingproject!
If you can afford a fence made with this material in your yard, this is the way to go! They are designed so that the color runs through the material. This means that if you knick or scratch the surface, the scratch will be the same color as the outside material, and will barely be noticeable. A fence made of composite material requires no maintenance or upkeep with the exception of yearly cleaning with a power sprayer. You don’t have to stain these fences, you don’t have to treat these fences, you don’t have to paint these fences! You can literally have that baby installed, and (as Bob says) “Sit back and enjoy your mint julep!” (I didn’t ask him what a mint julep is...see more about Bob’s advice at building a wood fence.) Oh, and the material is nice and smooth, so there’s no need to worry about nasty splinters! This is a great material to use for building a deck if you’re able to afford it. And one more thing, these fences are made so well now-a-days that they very, very closely resemble a wood fence. You may even trick your neighbors with your new "wood" fence! Of course, they’ll probably get suspicious when they see the fence year after year, and it continues to look as new as it did the day you installed it. As with the other fences, be sure to purchase the best quality material you can afford. You are purchasing this product for the life of your house, for your own personal enjoyment and/or for the increase in property value as a result of the installation. Composite fences will have a positive effect on your property value if they are installed correctly. Good luck to you in your search for the perfect fence!
